4th Generation Honda City unveiled in India

Honda has unveiled its 4th generation Honda City in India. This is the first time Honda has unveiled any of its cars for international markets from India. With so much of suspense, the new City was unveiled, for which Honda had indeed worked hard to not let any pictures of the car let go to the public before its unveiling.

The new City is noticeably bigger and the design is more sharper than the outgoing model. As Honda had earlier mentioned, the new City is evolutionary rather than revolutionary. Based on the Jazz platform Honda City provides the best interior space in its segment.

The interiors look basic, almost resembling the 1st generation model, but the quality of plastics have been improved and looks as they have borrowed from the bigger brother Civic. Overall the car looks to be fantastic package if priced close to Hyundai Verna.

The most highlighting part of the new City apart from the design is under the hood. The new City comes in diesel option for the first time and the same Amaze 1.5L i-DTec does the duty here as well. The engine will be tuned for better performance and mileage though the details have not been released.

Stay tuned for more updates on the 4th Generation Honda City in India...

All new Honda City to be unveiled on 25th November

In our last post we had mentioned about the new City’s India launch in December this year. According to latest news, the all new Honda City will be unveiled on 25th of November which coincides with the Tokyo Motor Show happening from 20th Nov to 1st Dec 2013.

There are some rumors that the all new Honda City mule has already reached the factory in Gurgaon, but still not a single camouflaged test vehicle has been found on roads. Perhaps! Honda is keeping it very secret for the car to be unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show.

As always expected the all new Honda City gets an unmatched curiosity, thanks to its futuristic design. This time the curiosity is still more as the new City will come in diesel engine for India. It is likely to come in two diesel engine options, a 1.6L and 1.5L i-DTec for different category of buyers.

The 1.5L i-DTec, which has already become famous for its fuel efficiency in Amaze will be positioned in base model of City and aims at customers looking for no nonsense fuel efficient cars. The 1.6L i-DTec will fill in the top end variant of all new Honda City which for meanwhile has to cover the gap left by the Civic. The 1.6L i-DTec caters to the performance oriented customers and will command a premium compared to smaller engine variants.

We, like all others are curious to see the first glimpse of the all new Honda City. Stay tuned as we try to bring you the first glimpse of the all new Honda City as soon as possible...
