After much hype Maruti Suzuki has finally launched the new Swift in India. The new Swift price starts from Rs 4.22 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi).
Like the earlier model, the new Swift is available in both petrol and diesel variants. The petrol Swift is powered by the same 1.2L engine which now gets variable valve timing (VVT) increasing the power to 86 Bhp. The diesel Swift however has the same engine as the old one which produces 74 Bhp power.
The all new Swift though looks familiar with the outgoing model, it has been designed from the scratch. The new Swift is 90mm longer and 5mm wider with wheelbase increased by 40mm.
The petrol Swift is priced between Rs. 4.22-5.53 lakh and the diesel is priced between Rs. 5.15-6.33 lakh.
