Honda Brio spied again, now with less camouflage

The small car from Honda, Brio has been spotted again testing near its factory in Noida. In our earlier post we had posted some spy pictures but nothing like these pictures below which will show the complete without much camouflage.

Honda will launch the Brio at the time of Diwali which will be in September. Since the Brio will be launched only in petrol engine, Honda is trying hard to position the car in the right segment. Any overpricing will make the Brio suffer like its big brother Jazz did.

The Brio will be powered by a 1.2L petrol engine, which is lifted from the Jazz. However the engine will be down tuned to match the small Brio. 5 speed manual transmission will be offered, but a 4 speed automatic cannot be ruled out at a later stage. Honda wants Brio to be positioned in a segment where people want performance of a petrol car with fuel efficiency of a diesel one. The Brio is expected to deliver 20 Km per liter of petrol.

As we see from the second picture, the rear windscreen is smaller unlike in the Thai version where the entire Tail gate consists of glass. May be Honda has redesigned the tail gate for India which now has a smaller rear glass area.
