Price of Kawasaki Z800 in India slashed by Rs 50,000

The Japanese auto-maker Kawasaki has made an interesting move by slashing the price of its popular Z800 by 50,000 Rs. The price slash is surprising as very recently Indian Government decided to remove tax benefits on cars and motorcycles in India from 1^st January 2015 onwards. However, one could avail Kawasaki Z800 with discounted price before 15^th March 2015.  What it means? The 7.85 Lakhs worth Kawasaki Z800 is now available for 7.35 Lakhs (ex-showroom Pune).

The sales of all-time rivals for Kawasaki bikes like Yamaha FZ and Yamaha R1 in India could be affected because of Z800’s sudden price cut, sports bike enthusiasts shall switch their mind towards Kawasaki Z800’s new offering.

The price cut was first happened in Thailand, where the Z800 is actually Manufactured. The price of Kawasaki Z800 could again bounce back to normal or might increase after 15^th March 2015.

Kawasaki Ninja 650R launched in India at Rs. 4.57 lakh

     Japanese superbike manufacturer Kawasaki has launched its second model Ninja 650R in India with a price tag of Rs. 4.57 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi ).


     The Ninja 650R is powered by a 4 stroke, liquid cooled engine in parallel twin format. The DOHC fuel injected Ninja has power output of whooping 71 Bhp @ 8500 rpm and torque of 6.73 Kgm.


     The bike has telescopic front folks and a rear monoshock suspension. It will be imported from Japan as a CKD unit and assembled at Bajaj Autos plant in Chakan, Pune.

Kawasaki thinking big for India

     Japanese super bike manufacturer Kawasaki is planning to launch more of its products in India. It has re-launched itself in India as India Kawasaki Motors Pvt. Ltd. reconfirming that they have officially re-entered India for some good business.

     Currently Kawasaki sells its Ninja 250R model through Bajaj Probiking centers. It aims to sell at least 1000 bikes in a year with the launch of new models. The new models will be assembled as CKDs at Bajaj’s Chakan Plant.
