For
quiet sometime we know about Renault’s plan of launching a low-cost small car
in India. The car codenamed XBA is likely to be in Indian showrooms by mid
2015.
Renault
will debut an all new 800cc petrol engine in the low-cost small car. The engine
codenamed BR-8 is quiet sophisticated with twin cam, 4 valves per cylinder, 3
cylinder one. Advanced design of the engine will help to deliver excellent
power and fuel efficiency.
Along
with the new engine, Renault’s low cost small car will feature Automatic Manual
Transmission to compete against recently launched Maruti Alto K10. The car will
be priced around Rs. 3 lakh, very close to the Alto K10.
