Nissan Juke might be launched in India by 2011

     Nissan Juke, the latest crossover from Nissan might possible be launched in India roads by mid of next year. Nissan Juke was launched at the New York Auto Expo recently and since then it has been available in International markets in two petrol and one diesel variants. The auto experts term it as an “Organic Bug” as it resembles the inflated version of Kia Soul. Juke might be launched in India with a 1.5L CRDi engine, as a diesel SUV is the order of the Indian Market.


     The unique feature of the Nissan Juke is its all mode 4WD-I Torque Vectoring System which enables to split power from side to side and front to rear in the ratio of 50:50, providing more control and better driving. Nissan Juke unlike other SUVs is much smaller and can be positioned in the mini-SUV segment which is slowly getting popular in India.

Honda Unicorn Dazzler 150cc launched in India

     Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has launched 150cc motorcycle Unicorn Dazzler in India priced at Rs 62,900/- ex-showroom New Delhi.


     The Unicorn Dazzler is a perfect blend of style and power along with good fuel efficiency which makes it the best motorcycle in its class. It is powered by a 150 cc carburetor engine that pumps out excellent power of 14 bhp. Tubeless tyres and alloy wheels are standard part of the equipment. The bike promises to cover a distance of 60 km with a liter of petrol.

     The Unicorn Dazzler is also equipped with maintenance free battery and air filter for more convenience. Other attractive feature of the bike are floating side cowl, aggressive front, screenless front cowl, 110/80 wider rear tyre, half-chain case, two-tone seat, new design mirror, handle bar weights, 3D emblem, digital meter and front & rear disc brake.

     The Unicorn Dazzler will be available at Honda showrooms by the end of this month. It comes in four colour options -, Pearl Nightstar Black, Pearl Siena Red, Armour Gold Metallic and Sword Silver Metallic.

     Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has maintained that it will sell CB Unicorn model along with the new Dazzler.

Mahindra Kine launched in India

     The famous Kinetic Kine is back with a different surname. Now it’s the Mahindra Kine. Ever since the take over of Kinetic Group, Mahindra has been speculating to re-launch the Kine scooter in India.


     Kine has been very famous with the young fair sexes. However, TVS Scooty did steal the limelight from the Kine. Now with its re-launch under a new name it promises to give a run for the money for the mini TVS.

     Kine sport a 71.5cc engine that produces 3.8 bhp of max power and 5 Nm of max torque. It can do a max speed of 80 kmph and weighs 82 kg. It has a Wheel base of 1225mm and 120 mm ground clearance. Both front and rear brakes have 112.5 mm drum and the fuel tank capacity is 4 liters.

     Mahindra Kine is directly pitted against TVS Scooty Teenz. It comes with with new graphics, body colored grab rail, revamped exhaust pipe, multi reflector headlamps for better glow, trendy looking white colored console for better visibility at night, under seat space that can fit more than a helmet and other personal belongings. Kine is priced at Rs 30,000/- ex-showroom New Delhi.

Honda to set up a new two wheeler manufacturing facility in India

     Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India has announced that it will set up a new manufacturing plant for its two wheelers in Alwar, Rajasthan. The company has signed an MoU with Govt. of Rajasthan for establishing the plant.


     Over Rs 500 crores will be invested in the new venture which will make total Honda two wheeler production to 6 lakh units per annum. The new plant offers employment to around 3000 employees directly.

     Honda has not been able to meet the demand for its two wheelers. Honda’s highly successful scooter 'Activa' has a waiting period of over 3 months. Hope with the establishment of the new plant the all the Honda models will be easily accessible.
