Next Generation Fiat Uno Spied

     The spy pictures of the Next Generation Fiat Uno have surfaced on the net. What we see on the new Uno is three grille air intakes on one side, massive lower grill and clear headlights and fog lights and chunky fender flares.

     According to the leaked details, the new Uno will be 3..77m long, 1.64m wide and 1.49m wide. It will be powered by two petrol engines, a 1.0 liter producing 75 bhp and a 1.4 liter with 102 bhp of power.

     The new Fiat Uno is expected to be launched in Brazil in the mid of this year and may likely to be followed in other developing countries as well.

Audi completes 3 years in India, launches Limited Edition Q7 Diesel

     German luxury car maker Audi has completed 3 years of its operation in India . Celelbrating the occasion Audi has launched Limited Edition Q7 Diesel SUV priced at just Rs 59.68 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai) which is Rs 7.45 lakh less than the existing model.

     Audi Q7 Limited Edition comes with 4.2 TDI V8 engine that does 0-100 kmph in just 6.4 seconds. It can achieve top speed of 240 kmph with good fuel efficeincy of 9.9 liters/100km.

2010 World Car of the Year is Volkswagen Polo

     Volkswagen Polo is named as the World Car of the Year 2010 judged by 59 automotive journalists from around the world.

Reva on an expansion mode, to expand to 50 countries in 2 years

     Bangalore based Reva Electric Cars Ltd, the lone electric car manufacturer in Inida seams to be on an expansion mode. In an interview for the latest business news paper Mr Chetan Maini MD of Reva Electric Cars Ltd said the company is intending to expand to over 40 to 50 countries by 2012.


     Mr Maini also emphasized about the need of the electric cars now due to various factors. Firstly, the Government is providing huge subsidies as compared to earlier, for example in Delhi subsidy upto 29.5% is given on the electric cars in order to cut down polloution. Low running cost and increase in Green initiation is also a major factor for increase in demand for electric cars.

Tata Nano goes for a charity ride

     Tata Motors donated 6 Nanos to Smil Train which is the world’s largest cleft charity organization. The keys of the Nanos were given by non other than Mr Ratan Tata, Chairman of Tata Sons to the charity organization.

     Smile Train provides free treatment to any child in need who has problem of clefts which can be corrected by simple procedures. The organization will use the Nanos to display dramatic before and after pictures of children who have been helped spreading a simple and clear message that clefts are easily correctable.

Its ‘The End’ for 12 cars after Bharat Stage IV

     The Bharat Stage IV emission norms which came into effect from 1st April this year has brought an end to 12 cars in India. The 12 cars which is listed below is being phased out from 13 major cities of India.
