Bookings for Tata Indica Vista facelift begins

The bookings for the Tata Indica Vista have already begun, before the launch of the car on August 22nd. Tata Motors dealers are taking bookings with a deposit of Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 25,000 depending up on the dealership.

As said in our earlier post, the Indica Vista facelift gets the front fascia of that of the Manza sedan. Chrome grill and triple barrel head lamps give the Indica Vista a Manza look. However there is not much change in the rear. In the interior, but for the dashboard, everything seems to be borrowed from the Manza as well. The dashboard remains the same with centrally mounted console, though now comes in dual tone colours.

Since it is just a facelift and looking at the down turn of the car market in India we guess Tata Motors might absorb the excess cost and will not price the Indica Vista facelift above the current model.

Toyota Etios user experience and complaints

We came across the website myetios.com where in Etios owners have expressed their views and complaints. The author of the website Mr. Munish Ahuja in his article points out the cost saving factor of Toyota by not having a water gasket on the doors leads to lots of problems. Firstly there is chance of water leakage when it rains and Mr. Munish says, the absence of the gaskets will makes it convenient for insects, cockroaches, ants, spiders and lizards to get inside the vehicle as soon as the door is opened. A good thought which Toyota did not think. Secondly these gaskets will reduce the noise and vibrations inside the cabin, so without the gaskets Eitos is not quite enough as it should have been. Mr. Munish has demonstrated the vibrations of Etios in his video as well.

Apart from the views of the author, there is lot of comments posted on the site. We feel the site is a must visit for not just Etios owners but to all who are planning to buy a car, not necessarily the Etios. Such user experience website will help the car buyers in making good decisions.

Tata Indica Vista facelift clear pictures

In our earlier post we had posted some spy pictures of Tata Indica Vista facelift. TheAutomotiveIndia.com has got has some good pictures of the new Indica Vista which indeed looks refreshed.

Tata Motors has tried to give the Indica Vista a new look to stay in the competition. Unlike the old Indica V2, the Vista however could not make a mark in the market. We feel this would be the final effort by the company on the Indica Vista as there are news that the third generation Indica is already on the drawing board.

The new Indica Vista will be launched on 22nd of this month. The company has borrowed lots of things from Manza to make Indica Vista look upmarket.
As seen in the picture, the front end of the new Indica Vista is no different than the Manza. The triple barrel headlamps, chrome grill and fog lamps all makes one difficult to differentiate the new Indica Vista from its bigger brother. In the rear you will find some changes in the tail lamps, but the major change can be seen on the tailgate. A black strip below the rear windscreen is the highlight and so do TATA emblem below it.

In the interior every bit seem to be of the Manza, however the dashboard has not been borrowed from it. The dashboard is same as that of the Indica Vista with speedo console in the centre. Some goodies like Bluetooth and steering mounted control is now present in the new Indica Vista as well.

We feel, Tata might sell the new Indica Vista in average numbers as the latest entrant – the New Swift and soon to be launched Toyota Etios Liva diesel will dominate the segment.
