Video: History of Ferrari prancing horse

The black prancing horse on a yellow background has a detailed and a fascinating story that Enzo Ferrari told only once. The horse was painted on the fuselarge of the fighter plane of Francesco Baracca, a heroic airman of the First World War. At 23 Enzo met Countenrico Baracca, Francesco Baracca’s father and his mother Countes Paulina who said to Enzo one day, “Ferrari put my son’s prancing horse on your cars, it will bring you good luck”. The horse was and still is back and Enzo added the Canary Yellow background which is the colour of Modena. In 1932 the Ferrari shield first appeared on the Alfa Romeo cars of the Scuderia racing team in the grand prix of SPA. In 1947 the 125S, first car produced at the Maranello, the pracing horse appeared on the yellow background and always with the Italian flag at the top. Now the shield is replaced by a rectangle with S and F instead of Ferrari. Thus the Ferrari brand was born.

Hyundai EON spied inside out without camouflage

We managed to find these pictures of red Hyundai EON on a blog anything-on-wheels.blogspot.com. This is the first time that the interiors of EON have been seen in the digital world. The red EON looks simply fabulous with its flowing creases evident more in this colour. The interiors especially have been designed brilliantly which again reflect Hyundai’s fluidic design theme. Such interiors in its class is the first time, we know everybody has got bored with the Alto’s interior.

We in our earlier post had mentioned that the EON has been over designed. But looking the car in red colour we will have to take back our words. EON in red looks like a small beauty and the interiors are fantastic. It is the price now which we are waiting. If Hyundai is really planning to compete with Alto, EON has no competition.

New Honda City 2011 launched in Thailand

The new Honda City 2011 that is the facelifted Honda City has been launched in Thailand. To remind, we had posted some spy pictures of Honda City facelift being tested in India. Honda had announced that it will give a facelift to not much old Honda City which was launched just three years ago to make the car look fresh and stay ahead in the competition.

Honda City has been the benchmark car in India since its launch way back in 1998. However the dominance of City was challenged by new entrants like Volkswagen Vento and Hyundai Fluidic Verna. A lack of diesel option and rising petrol prices made City to lose its battle ground and made Honda to cut its prices by over Rs. 60,000. With the refreshed look Honda wants to get back into the competition. But still Honda has to think about its pricing strategies in India. What do you feel?

We found the new Honda City 2011 video. Watch it and enjoy!
