Premier Rio petrol introduced in Indian Market


     After the launch of diesel version, Premier Automobiles Ltd. has launched a petrol version of its mini-SUV Rio in India. The Rio petrol powered by a 1173 engine with 77 Bhp of power will be available across major metros and select Tier 2 cities. The Rio petrol starts at Rs. 4.7 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) and is available in GX and GLX variants.

Chevrolet Tavera facelift spied


     Chevrolet had announced that it will give a facelift to its MPV Tavera with an engine change. The facelifted Tavera was spied by Motorbeam.com while testing under cold weather conditions at Manali.

     The facelifted Tavera will have a new front bumpers, new grill along with clear lens headlamps. The major change will be under the bonnet which will have Sonalika souced 2.0L TDCi diesel engine which produces 100 Bhp of power. However there will be no change in the rear and interiors as well. 

     The Tavera facelift will be launched by the end of this year with a marginal hike in the price. 







Ford introduces Endeavour 4x4 Hurricane Limited Edition in India


     Ford has introduced a Limited Edition Endeavour in India which it names it as Hurricane 4x4. Ford Endeavour 4x4 Hurricane is priced at Rs. 20,13,244/- (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The Limited Edition Endeavour 4x4 Hurricane features a new muscular front nudge bar, specially designed chrome exhaust, Hurricane body decals and 5th door convex mirror.

     In the inside, the Limited Edition Endeavour 4x4 has a touch screen based entertainment system with a built 9n DVD player which supports all popular file formats. The unit also has a USB Input and Aux in port that allows the users to connect to MP3 players such as Apple iPod. However the Limited Edition Endeavour will be powered by the same 3.0 Liter Duratorq TDCi common rail diesel engine with 156 Ps of power and 380 Nm of torque at 2500 rpm.

Hero MotoCorp launches Impulse motorcycle priced at Rs. 66,800/-

     Hero MotoCorp has launched Impulse motocycle, its first motorcycle under its new brand name. The Hero Impulse is priced at Rs. 66,800/- (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The deliveries of the motorcycle will be done before this Diwali.


     The Hero Impulse is powered by a 150cc eninge which produces 13.2 PS of power at 7500 rpm and 13.40 Nm of torque at 5000 rpm. The motorcycle will be available in 5 colour shades – Black, Vibrant Blue Metallic, Sports Red, Leaf Green Metallic and Vibrant Orange.

Force Traveller spied with new LED lights

     Force Traveller was spied with new LED light while testing on road. This is the second facelift Force is giving its highly successful bread winner.


     It is powered by a 2.6 L TCIC (Turbocharged InterCooled) engine with 82 Hp of power at 3,200 rpm.


     Force Motors is planning to launch Merecedes Viano in near future. The company is consolidating its product portfolio and aims to become a major player in medium sized mass mobility segment.



BMW 6 Series coupe launched in India

     BMW has launched the new 6 Series coupe in India priced at Rs. 74.99 lakh (ex-showroom). BMW had launched the soft top version of 6 Series in India in March this year.


     The BMW 6 Series coupe will be available in both petrol and diesel (650i and 640d) engine options. The 640d is priced at Rs. 74.99 lakh and 650i is priced at Rs. 84.99 lakh (both ex-showroom prices). The 6 Series 650i convertible is priced at Rs. 95 lakh.


     
The 6 Series coupe is available in wide range of colours which include Alpine White and Imola Red (non-metallic) and Titanium Silver, Black Sapphire, Havanna, Space Grey, Deep Sea Blue, Mineral White, Vermilion Red, Orion Silver (metallic). Host of other features are also available which will cost another Rs. 20 lakh extra. The 6 Series coupe is also available with the ‘M Sport’ package.






Peugeot to make B-plus, C & D segment cars in India

     In our earlier post we had showed you spy pictures of Peugeot cars testing in Indian conditions. French car maker Peugeot will start its factor work at Sanand next month which will see investments of Rs. 4000 crores.

     Peugeot will make B-plus, C and D segment cars in its Sanand plant which will be launched in phase wise manner. Peugeot will launch its first model 508 sedan in India by 2014 followed by a hatchback and a luxury sedan. Peugeot has already planned for certain changes in its cars to suit the Indian conditions.

     Peugeot also has plans to bring in hybrid and electric vehicle to India in future. The company has tied up with Ford India for diesel engines and with BMW for gasoline engines.
