Honda introduces celebration editions of Amaze and Mobilio

        Feeling the heat of the competition, Honda has introduced a celebration edition of Amaze sedan and Mobilio MPV. As per Honda the celebration editions have been launched to commemorate the festive season in India. The Amaze which was the king in the segment is threaten by the recently launched Ford Figo Aspire and the Mobilio from Renault Lodgy which has received lot of attention by the Indian customers.
        The celebration edition vehicles will get upgraded seat covers and cushions, a steering wheel cover, new floor mats, body graphics and a logo to highlight the special edition. The offer is available in all variants and only in Tafetta white and Orchid Pearl White pain schemes.
            The celebration edition Honda Amaze price starts from Rs. 5,22,700 and Mobilio at Rs. 6,79,000 (Ex-showroom, Delhi).

New Land Rover Discovery Sport launched in India

        Land Rover has launched the all new Discovery Sport luxury SUV in India. The new Disco is priced between Rs. 46.1 to Rs. 62.18 lakh ex-showroom and Octroi in Mumbai. It is offered in 4 trims – S, SE, HSE and HSE Luxury.


        The new Discovery Sport is powered by a 2179cc diesel engine with two power outputs – 148 Bhp power & 40.78 Kgm torque powering S, SE, HSE and a more powerful 188 Bhp SD version with 42.8 Kgm torque powers the top end HSE Luxury trim only. Transmission is through 9 speed automatic gearbox, as of Evoque. The new Disco Sport is available in 5+2 seating options which are not present in its competitors Audi A5, BMW X3 and Volvo XC60.


        The new Discovery Sport will replace Freelander 2 in India. All Land Rover Discovery Sport models carry a standard 3 year/ 1,00,000km warranty.

Ford Figo Aspire launched in India

        Ford has launched its first compact sedan Figo Aspire in India. The Figo Aspire is priced at Rs. 4.89 lakh for the base petrol, Rs. 5.89 lakh for base diesel and Rs 7.79 lakh for the top of the line petrol automatic trim. (All prices Ex-showroom New Delhi).


        The Figo Aspire is powered by 1.2L & 1.5L petrol engines along with 1.5L diesel as well. The 1.2L, 1.5L petrol and 1.5L diesel has power figures of 88 Ps @ 6300 rpm, 112 Ps @ 6000 rpm & 100 Ps @ 3750 Ps and torque of 112 Nm @ 4000 rpm, 136 Nm @ 4250 rpm & 215 Nm @ 1750-3000 rpm respectively. The top end 1.5L petrol trim is available in automatic option and the rest gets 6 speed manual transmission. The wheels are 14 inch with ventilated disc in the front and drum in the rear.

        Though Figo Aspire is the late entrant in the Indian compact sedan segment, it promises to deliver better than its competitors. It competes with Maruti Dzire, Hyundai Xcent, Tata Zest and Honda Amaze in the segment.

Nissan launches limited edition Terrano Groove

        Nissan today launched a limited edition variant of Terrano SUV name Terraro Groove. Terrano Groove comes with high performance speakers by Rockford Fosgate and a black roof wrap. The added features comes at no extra cost.

        Apart from speakers and black roof, other features which Terrano Groove gets are chrome surrounded fog lamps, tail lamps and tailgate, ambient lighting inside the cabin and LED scuff plates. All these features are worth about Rs. 30,000, which Nissan is giving to youthful and lifestyle conscious customers.

        Terrano Groove will be a limited edition model and only 250 units will be available for sale. Nissan Terrano Groove is priced at Rs. 11.45 lakh (Ex-showroom, Delhi).

All new second generation Volvo XC90 launched in India

          Volvo Cars India today launched the second generation XC90 SUV in India. The Volvo XC90 will be available in two trims – Momentum & Inscription with prices Rs. 64.9 lakh & Rs. 77.9 lakh respectively (All prices ex-showroom Mumbai without Octori. Bookings for the car have already started with down payment of Rs. 5 lakh and deliveries will be done by September.


          The new Volvo XC90 is built on Volvo’s all new SPA (scalable product architecture) platform. Under the hood is the latest generation 2.0 litre, 4 cylinder D5 diesel engine with power output of 225 Bhp and 48 Kg of torque. A 400 Bhp T8 petrol-electric plug-in hybrid expected next year.
