Bajaj launches Avenger 220 cruise bike

     Bajaj Auto has launched Avenger 220 cruise bike in the Indian two wheeler market. The Avenger 220 cruise bike is powered by a 220 cc engine which also powers Pulsar 220cc motorcycle. The bookings for the bike is open and deliveries will be made in next 2 weeks.

     Avenger 220cc has a maximum power of 21 PS @ 8500 rpm and maximum torque of 19.12 Nm @ 7000 rpm. It is priced at Rs 76,876/- on road Pune. Colours to choose from are Black, Red, Blue and Silver.

Hyundai i10 facelift to be launched soon in India

     Hyundai will launch the facelifted i10 small car in India soon. The i10 facelift will get new set of headlamps, taillamps and front bumper giving a neat look to the car.




     Hyundai i10 sales have come down due to tough competition from new comers in the market - Chevrolet Beat and Ford Figo. This seams to be a desperate effort by the company to bring i10 back to life. Well...... Shah Rukh Khan might be getting ready with a facelift too for the new i10 ad!

Volkswagen Vento launched in India

     Volkswagen has launched a premium sedan christened Vento in India. Vento is built on the Polo hatchback platform. The car will be availabe for purchase only by September-October this year. Though the specifications of Vento has been released, the company is mum on the price details. We expect it to be priced between Rs 7-9 lakh.


     Vento seam to give a strong competition to market leader Honda City. Since City has only petrol motor, Vento with its diesel oil burner has an advantage to take away the competition.

Ford Figo bookings reaching 25,000 mark

     Ford India has already recieved 24,000 bookings for its small car Figo in a span of just 4 months since its launch. The booking is still counting is close to 25,000.


     Ford India has started 2nd shift at its Maraimalainagar plant in Chennai due to overwhelming demand for Figo in India. Ford will increase its employees number by over 600 in few days. The company is working on to increase its dealer outlets to 185 by the end of this year.

Ford India Executive Director (Marketing & Sales) Nigel E. Wark said “Yes, we have started our second production shift at our Chennai plant to meet the increasing demand for Figo. Figo is getting a good response from the market and the company has received 24,000 purchase orders in the first four months of launch. This small car is helping to drive our sales growth.”

Mahindra to re-launch Kinetic Boss 115cc

     Mahindra is keen to make its foot hold strong in the 2 wheeler segment. After its take over from Kinetic Mahindra has re launched products which was earlier in the name of Kinetic namely Flyte and Duro with slight modifications. However Rodeo is an exception which has a distinct stlying.


    Now Mahindra wants to re-launch the Kinetic Boss 115cc entry level motorcycle. The bike has been codenamed as A01 and is likely to be priced between Rs 35,000 to Rs 40,000. Expect few cosmetic changes in this entry level motorcycle. A 200cc performance motorcycle is also on the cards which will be built in collaboration with SYM motors.
