Skoda Youngster, Is this Skoda’s small car for India?

Like its parent company VW, Skoda also intends to launch a small car below Fabia in India. The Youngster will share platform with VW Lupo and Seat Arena though the exterior will look completely different from each other.

A test mule was spied somewhere in the Europe which we though will bring it to you. The Youngster has powertrain options of 1.0 and 1.2-litre petrol and diesel three- and four-cylinder engines. In the design aspect, the Youngster will be inspired by Skoda’s Vision D concept shown at 2011 Geneva Motor Show.

Maruti R3 MPV spied, launch by this December

Last year Maruti displayed its R3 concept MPV at the Auto Expo in New Delhi. Now the MPV has been spied in India which was on its way to Japan for final testing. The spy pictures were taken by Karthik, a close friend of chevelle from Team-Bhp.

It is unfortunate that we have no front pictures of the vehicle but from the pictures available it seems to be another winner from Maruti. The ZDi tag suggests a diesel engine option and we feel the SX4’s DDiS Turbo engine powers the MPV. Also the ABS badge on the rear glass suggests the vehicle to have ABS as an option and along with Airbags as well.

Maruti had announced the launch of R3 MPV in December this year and since the vehicle is ready, we expect it to be launched on time.

Men more stressed than women in traffic jams

Stuck up in a traffic jam with your wife beside you? Get off the wheel and let your wife drive the car. A research study conducted by satellite navigation company Tom Tom, Men stress level raises seven times that of the women’s when stuck up in a traffic jam.

British psychologists reached to this conclusion after testing the saliva of volunteers for rise in stress chemicals when caught up in a traffic jam.During the study, the stress levels raised by 8.7% in women as compared to 60% in men during traffic jams.

Psychologists explain the phenomenon of men beign more stressed during traffic jams is because of their normal resonse to a difficult situation – either fight or flight. That is men normally either confront it or walk away from the situation. Since they cannot do anything about the traffic jams, they sit and get nervous. On the other hand, women cope up to these kind of situation better – either by singing a tune on the radio or calling up friends to relieve pressure.
