Audi Q3 spied testing in India

Audi's baby SUV Q3 was spied testing in Mumbai's city traffic by Oncar.in. Audi will launch the Q3 in India early next year, so expect Q3 to be present at the Auto Expo 2012 at New Delhi.

Audi had developed Q3 mainly to compete against BMW X1. It will also compete with other SUVs Fortuner, CR-V and Captive. Powering the Q3 will be 2 L diesel mill from the new Passat, with power out put of 170 Bhp.

An Audi being price close to Honda CR-V and Toyota Fortuner will definately make the customers prefer Audi for its premium brand. The Q3 though is a SUV will function mainly as a soft roader unlike its bigger brothers Q5 and Q7.

Tata Aria 4x2 launched, price starting from Rs. 11.61 lakh

Tata Motors has launched 4x2 version of its latest SUV offering ‘Aria’ in India. The company has priced Aria 4x2 very competitively with price starting from Rs. 11.61 lakh ex-showroom New Delhi. The Aria 4x2 is available in 3 trim levels – Aria 4×2 Pure, Aria 4×2 Pleasure and Aria 4x2 Prestige. However the top of the line Pride trim level is not available in Aria 4x2.

The prices of trim levels of Tata Aria 4x2 are:

Tata Aria 4x2 Pure – Rs. 11.61 lakh
Tata Aria 4x2 Pleasure – Rs. 12.61 lakh
Tata Aria 4x2 Prestige – Rs. 14.26 lakh

Ever since Tata Motors launched Aria in India, the sales of Aria have not picked up, mainly due to the price. With the launch of cheaper 4x2 variant Tata Motors seem to have responded to the market demand. The Aria 4x2 trim is priced Rs. 1.7 lakh as compared to the similar 4x4 variant. With this move, Tata Motors aims to push Aria sales to the next level.

On the launch of Tata Aria 4x2, Mr. P M Telang, Managing Director of Tata Motors – India Operations said, “As the first Indian 4×4 crossover, the Tata Aria has broken a new path for Tata Motors. Peugeot 207 hatch entry to hot up B Segment

Peugeot 207 hatch’s entry to Indian market will further hot up the already crowded B Segment. Though the French are late to enter India, the design and quality of Peugeot products have their own essence with which it can gain a decent market share. The design of 207 might seem similar to other cars on road in India but the car does demand attention because of its invigoration personality.

Peugeot 309 which was launched a decade and a half ago in India was known for its refined engine and durability. It was unfortunate that ‘309’ could not sell in large numbers, which as all because of marketing issues and nothing to do with 309’s technicality. The international version of 207 is 4045mm long and we are sure Peugeot will work on the bumpers to shorten the car to come under 4 meters. With over 1800 mm width, the 207 promises to give class leading interior space.

Peugeot has two diesel engine options, a 1.4L & 1.6L HDi engine for 207 in the other parts of the world. In India, the 1.4L HDi engine will find its place under the 207’s hood. The 1.4L HDi engine produces a decent 70 Bhp of power. Since Peugeot’s diesel engines are known for its smoothness, the 207 will deliver good performance and fuel efficiency as well.

Peugeot 207’s built quality will also be good, keeping in mind about Peugeot’s quality standards. With a good engine, fuel efficiency, build quality, style and large interior space the Peugeot 207 hatch aims to give run for their money for the cars in B Segment. Expect the Peugeot 207 hatch to be priced around Rs. 6 lakh
