Nissan offers Rs. 1,00,000 discount on X-Trail

Nissan is offereing cash discount of Rs. 1,00,000 on its X-Trail SUV. Since its launch, the CBU X-Trail has not been doing well on the sales chart because of its price. X-Trail is priced between Rs. 22.2-26.5 lakh which is much higher than its competitors Fortuner and Captiva.

In July 2011, Nissan sold just 35 units of X-Trail while its competitors Toyota Fortuner and Chevrolet Captiva sold 1060 and 113 units respectively. BMW X1, though being costly than the X-Trail sold 484 units in the month of July.

Tata Manza CS spied

In our earlier post when we showed you a yellow facelifted Indica Vista spied while testing, a Manza with the bumper covered was found in front of the Indica Vista which opened up the speculation of Manza CS being launched along with the new Vista. Carwale.com has come up with a picture of Manza CS from the side, which in fact looks better than the current Manza.

Unlike the Indigo CS, the Manza CS looks to be a complete car without any design flaws while shortening the boot. With tall boot, the Manza CS will give a class leading luggage space in the segment. Having known about the interior space of the Manza, the CS version of it will make it a car with lots of space; yet cheap to buy as the CS version being less than 4 meters in length qualifies for the excise sops.

2012 Hyundai i20 spied

The next generation Hyundai i20 has been spied in Europe. Though the 2012 Hyundai i20 will be a facelift, the redesigned front and rear end would make the car look entirely different from the current model. The i20 will also bear the same front fascia like that of the Fludic Verna, sticking to the Fludic Sculpture design theme.

We expect the car to make its appearance at the Auto Show next year in New Delhi.

Force Motors is betting big on its SUV and is likely to be priced competitively. At around Rs. 11-13 lakh, Force One will give stiff competition to Tata Safari, Mahindra Scorpio & Tata Aria. But the major one to get hit will be Innova. People buying a MUV like Innova will definitely opt the Force One because of its spaciousness and off road capability.

Force Motors has gone into an agreement with Mercedes Benz, which provides the engine for ‘Force One’ SUV. The Force One engine is the same one we see in the C Class but with various output. Expect the Force One engine to deliver class leading performance, which no other vehicles in the segment can match.

Scoop: Maruti R3 clear images

Till now we had been seeing the spy pictures of the Maruti R3 MPV, now Carwale.com has provided us the clear images of the R3 MPV.

The R3 bears some resemblance with the new Swift, but the entire front end including the headlamps has no association with the Swift. In fact the R3 MPV is built on the extended Ritz platform.

The side profile looks impressive and one gets a feeling of a big vehicle, which the R3 is indeed. The wrap around tail lamps looks great as well. Overall we would say the R3 has been designed will by Maruti Suzuki. It is all about the price now which decides the R3 fate in Indian market.
